Situated conveniently at 805 W Broadway, this restaurant invites you to experience the rich flavors of Japan through its carefully curated menu and inviting atmosphere.

Kisokoma specializes in Robata BBQ, offering a delightful selection that includes the tender Ginger Pork (CA$6.44) and the irresistible Beef Rib Combo, served with bean sprouts, rice, and miso soup for a satisfying CA$18.15. Seafood lovers will appreciate the freshness of their grilled Saba, while the Squid and other seasonal vegetables make for diverse and mouthwatering options. The grill marks on the food alone tell of the authenticity of the robata cooking methods used to prepare your meal.

If you’re in the mood for something heartier, their Yakisoba and Yakiudon dishes are a must-try! The shrimp or seafood noodles tossed with vibrant bean sprouts and cabbage offer a comforting warmth, perfect for any grey Vancouver day. We decided to stop in for a quick bite before visiting the dentist. I have walked by here many many times and this is the first time we have actually eaten here. The space is small-ish but the tables are well separated and it is very clean inside. The service is prompt, courteous and the food arrives from the kitchen very quickly. You can sit and look inside if you’d like. I had the beef special fried rice and it was excellent. My wife had the sushi special and it was also very delicious. The price point was very reasonable (under $30 for lunch for two people). As an added bonus Michael Buble and his wife were eating for their first time as well. He was very friendly and congenial.

Tried Kisokoma the other day and it did not disappoint! Aside from the good food, they have a lovely interior too! So far we've tried their Takoyaki, Crunchy Salmon Roll, and Sunset Roll - and they're all good! Looking forward to going back here to try their other selections!

First time eating here and it's pretty good! I like how the takoyaki is crispy on the outside and soft inside. The chicken teriyaki was delicious as well and I am happy that there's a brown rice option! The first time I came here the brown rice was a tiny amount (this was during covid) and so I wasn't too impressed. But since then, the portion of the rice is much larger and much better! The salmon sashimi was nice and fresh. The avocado salad dressing was creamy and veggies were crispy. Service was great and covid protocols all in place. They offer a few tables and chairs outside so you are able to eat your food there.
